Jefferson School of Nursing is an integral part of Thomas Jefferson University (TJU). The nursing school is founded and providing nursing education since 1891.Over the Years School of Nursing has rolled out distinguished nurse clinicians, educators and researchers, who excelled in their respective nursing field. Today, a student has the option of obtaining continuum of degrees including: Associate (ASN), Bachelor’s (BSN), Master’s (MSN), Postmaster’s and Doctoral (DNP) level.
The mission and vision of the Jefferson School of Nursing is to offer and accomplish excellence in education and future clinical care in partnership with its affiliation Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Financial Aids
As on 2009-2010, the financial aid granted to undergraduate and graduate health professions students amounted to $39 million including, federal, state and institutional grants, scholarships, loans and work-study employments. Nearly 72% of students were the recipient of financial aid.

Accelerated programs
Four accelerated programs leading to the MSN degree: the RN-BSN-MSN option, the Accelerated Pathway to the MSN for Second-Degree Prelicensure Students, the FACT option and the Accelerated Pathway to the MSN for Second-degree RN Students.
RN-BSN and MSN Program curriculum offer online courses and RN-BSN program can be completed in two semesters. Programs are provided in Day, evening, and online classes.
Accreditation
- The DNP program of JSN has been awarded CCNE accreditation through 2014.
- The CRNA program has been awarded COA accreditation through 2019
